Hey everyone just doin my quick introduction.

Always been interested in doing restorations and builds finally getting around to starting. Currently working on an 84 zn700 and rebel rebuild. Got both for under $100 as part bikes.

I’m a machinist (yes I learned on manual equipment not a cnc button pusher) I’ve worked on mini bikes and go karts before but not motorcycles. I also make custom banjos and furniture. I worked for several years in film doing rigging and electrical and in theater as a carpenter.

I love riding and working with my hands so If you have questions about machining or banjos feel free to ask.
glad to be here and look forward to getting to know everyone!

Yes, welcome!  And a machinist too!  I think you should change your name to Wizard of Az!
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Thank you! At this immediate time I only have a few pictures to document how bad the bikes were when we picked then up. We are planning a trip to Apache junction to go parts hunting in a few weeks.

Just put new tires on today and started rebuilding calipers.  Plan on getting the engine on the bench next week.
The previous owner started chopping to make a bobber but luckily didn’t chop too much, I think they got overwhelmed by the electrical side of a rebuild. The rebel came in pretty decent condition missing a few parts but no pack rats nesting in it so…

I picked up an '82 KZ750H from Steve's cycle in Mesa for cheap. Found it in Facebook Marketplace. He had plenty to chose from and a lot of good used parts. Plenty of smokin' deals here too.

Your bike is looking good! I live down the street from the automall guys gave me a number of a guy who has lots of salvage parts and sometimes bikes too here in town. Brother in laws coworker builds custom choppers so I think we got a good team. Certainly lots of good resources here in Tucson.
