Kawasaki veteran from Austria

Hello members,

first a thank you to KZQ for manually activating my account.

My real name is Günther, I´m 56 years old from Carinthia, southern Austria. International communication I´m signing with Gunny or G., and please don´t mind if I use both KZ (international) and Z (Austria, Switzerland, Germany) for our beloved old Kawasaki bikes.

Currently riding ZRX1200R, KZ1000 Shaft, and a Yamaha (so sorry) XT as city bike. 25 years ago I started on a 1976 Z900, followed by Z1000J and KZ1000 Z1R. During my first 20 years of riding I owned 20+ big cc Kaws, all the way from KZ to GPZ to ZX models and back. 2006 I bought my ZRX1200R which for me is Kaw´s last classic superbike. Love it.

About 3 years ago I also wanted to go back to my roots and got me a 1979 KZ1000 Shaft - which was unrepairable for several years before I catched it. Since then I did lots of work on it, and I´m positive to get the thing running perfect in just few more steps - details will follow in separate threat. Optics will follow later btw.

After finishing my "career" in 2018, I made my hobby my professioin and I´m currently working part-time as motorcycle mechanic, I look forward to contribute my decade long experiences in classic mechanics to be board.

Looking forward to some great communications here in KZR! Best regards, G.
