Thanks for the add...tomorrow I’m picking up a 1993 KZ1000 Police model. I’m getting it from a co-worker of my wife whose husband past away about 2 years ago. Before that the bike had sit for close to a decade, she doesn’t know anything about the bike including how it was stored...so I have a job ahead of me. I came from riding and tinkering on Triumphs, Harley’s and Indian’s, so I’m sure I’ll be reaching out for some help. Looking forward to interacting with several of you.

That's a nice find! They're getting pretty uncommon in what appears to be unrestored, mostly original condition.
We're not well versed on the KZP's. Do you know if the radio box has been replaced with a civilian seat?

Unfortunately the solo seat was replaced. The stock KZP seat is very comfortable. The windscreen was treated poorly but may be able to be buffed out.

It has a 2 up seat on it now and I have the solo seat, and radio box. I’m putting the solo seat back on with the radio box.

You would not believe what all I had to do to even get to it. I hope the windscreen buffs out too.
