Pictures would really help. But if it in average shape 2K was a good price. By average I’m talking faded paint, maybe a light dent or scratch. Surface corrosion on the engine cases. Light rust on the swing arm. Hand controls a little rough. Solid but dull chrome. Electrical systems working. But all that is relevant to the bike being all OEM correct. If it’s in average condition cosmetic wise and all OEM then you did ok. If it’s in said condition and all hacked up then not so good. In Pristine OEM condition it would be in the 7-9k range maybe higher.

Originality and condition will determine value, also how many people want it, as in how high the bid would go in an auction. You have not provided enough information or photographic evidence to determine condition. I don't think you're in too deep for $2000 unless the bike has some serious issues. The LTD grab bars are not easy to come by, and not reproduced to my knowledge. I think the 1976 900 LTDs will do nothing but increase in value, they were in actuality "Limited Production" although more than the 3000 that was originally planned.
