Hello Im not new to old bikes or forums. But I am new to this site and Kawasaki bikes. Looking for some help with issues and parts.

Do you have a service manual? If not there is one located on the forum here
kzrider.com/service-manuals

It is always a good idea to have on for the year and model you are working on.

Step 1 - only use Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) screwdrivers (NOT Phillips) on the Kawasaki crosshead screws. I know they look like Phillips, but using Phillips screwdrivers on them WILL wreck them because the Phillips tips will not seat properly. If you need more info on JIS drivers just ask. Phillips screwdriver tips can be easily modified to the JIS standard. Ed
