By msanch08: I am not exactly sure why the google link did not resolve to a picture. I tried it with using the linking process here, but, did something wrong. I will try use the upload process for embedded pictures in future. Thanks for the info.

Another way is to click one of your photo links (I only tried the first one), then on that google page w the pic, click the photo; then open the image in a new window (I have a Mac computer so I press the "control" button while clicking the pic, then choose "Open image in new tab"). Then copy the address from the address bar. Then here on KZR, click the image link icon above the message box & paste the address in the URL box & click Add. finally, submit your reply. It's more work to type & explain than it actually is. hee.

Vessel makes very good tools and their screwdriver JIS screwdriver bits are very likely the best one can buy. I bought a set, but I actually found that my home made bits fit the Kawasaki screws a little better. Of course, I took my time making the home made bits from regular Phillips bits. The first image below shows a comparison; the tips of the Vessel and home made bits look and are very similar. The second image below shows a home made bit in Kawasaki screw. It fits so well it actually will stay in place without being hand held. I found I cannot do that with the Vessel bits, although they also are a very good fit; in fact they are a far superior fit than any standard Phillips bits. I suspect the key to making home made bits that fit the screws really well is taking plenty of time to check the fit as one modifies the Phillips bits. If one cannot take the time to do so Vessel bits are the thing to buy. Ed

OK, As far as I can tell I did exactly your procedure.
1. Open the image in google photos in new window.
2. Copy the address in the address bar.
3. Select the image link and past the address in rightmost URL field.
4. Added text to ALT field ("KZ200")
5. Selected size (250)
6. Pressed add.
7. Clicked submit.

but, just an icon shows. Gettin old aint for sissies I guess.

Many thanks for the pictures of the Vessel bits compared to your home built bits. I can see yours are sharper and not rounded at the apex, no doubt allowing more torque application without potential for rounding.

I will take a look at vessel, and, since I find myself at the moment with a bit of time, I will see about building one from a Phillips bit.

Either way, I am infinitely better off today than I was yesterday when I thought they were all Phillips and were cheap because they are were rounded by my Phillips bit.

OK, I got it.

Here is my procedure:
1. Right click and select copy image link in google photo.
2. Come to enter text in a reply in this forum and select reply.
3. Select the image icon and paste the image link from google photo in the URL field.
4. Add description text in ALT field.
5. Select preview or click submit.

I looked at the VESSEL website, and I believe they stopped selling JIS screwdrivers. Notice they no longer mention JIS on their website (at least my search didn't find any mention). Also, the model numbers of screwdriver tips look like they have been discontinued. Below are a couple of the JIS tips I bought from them long ago. I do not see the same tips being offered today. Ed

Thanks for letting me know. I took a look at the kit that came with the bike screwdriver inserts for the handle and they look like JIS compared to a Phillips. So, in a pinch, I can use those.

I will find some other bits.

At the moment I have completed all work on the bike for this year except swapping out the tires. This time, tires were beastly difficult to find for the old bike.

I guess both I and my bike are getting so old there is just nothing out there for us anymore.

Well that's a shame. Sets are still available on eBay from Japan. Prices are a little higher...
