Returning Z1b member from rainy Irish west coast.
04 Jul 2020 13:16 - 05 Jul 2020 08:46
So.... many years ago i had a build thread here while i built my Z1b streetfighter, i shared the tear down to first ride and all the tears between, unfortunately there is a sad story that came in the months after . The build was in Canada but late that summer after i had a few road tests i had a bit of bad news from home so i packed up after 7 years and me and the bike were shipped back home to Galway/Clare, me by plane and the bike by sea.. Unfortunately the poor girl had a fairly game ending accident on the last leg of her journey. She survived... but just barely and between restarting my business and relationship shite and buying a house she lived in a garaage bruised and beaten till...kinda now. I hope to be posting a new build and well burning the ears of a few senior members for advice and help. Happy 4th of July to those who celebrate it and happy Saturday to those who don't.

Thanks mate, glad to be back! While being transported on in a friends van a strap came loose and she did a 180 on a left turn. Mostly cosmetic but enough to put her off the road and then ..9 years of sitting in a damp Irish garage while I got my life back on track. I wanted to do right by her so saving all the spare pennies until I could make a decent start on a rebuild.

Love that colour! Nice and rich!
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Welcome back.
Wicked looking bike even with the tank dent. Looks like an interesting machine or two in the background.

05 Jul 2020 07:38Thanks mate, this is one of the bikes in the backround, she was my daily drive over in Canada and took me all over Ontario and into the States, it broke my heart to leave her behind but she is still looked after and is still seeing road on a daily basis, well i hope....
