Hi Guys, This is ScottZ from Huntington Beach, CA USA. I just aquired my First KZ! It is a 1981 KZ1100-A1 Shaft in dark blue. Just over 22K miles and in pretty good unmolested shape. It runs well and rides well but has a few oil leaks that I have started to fix. Some bad Rubber (IE: Meter Dampeners). I am pretty excited about my new aquisition.
I have resurrected many an old bike, mostly Hondas. I like to resurrect back to as close to original as I can. A few of the bike I have worked on include 76 Honda GL1000 Standard, 84 Honda GL1200 Standard, 70 Honda CL350, 74 Honda CL360, 74 Yamaha DT400, 03 Yamaha V-max to name a few.
My current daily rider is a 2014 Yamaha FJR1300ES

Welcome to KZR.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Welcome aboard!
One thing many KZ owners are unaware of is the fact that there are no Phillips screws on a KZ bike. Those screws that look like Phillips are not Phillips; they are Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS). Using a Phillips screwdriver on them will damage them as well as making them nearly impossible to remove. See link below for details. Ed
