Whats up fellas? I'm from Manhattan but living in upstate NY now. Been riding for years but really don't have much knowledge about the mechanical side. Picked up a kz400 (yesterday) and it stopped running immediately, haha... I'm sure its an easy fix, but I am clueless.

Howdy. The first thing to check would be the fuses. Keep in mind that a glass fuse can look good, but still be bad as a filament can separate from an end cap. I use a digital multimeter, and with the fuses installed test for power at each end of the fuses. very easy. Also, the motorcycle needs a good, fully charged battery to start & run right. The charging system's job is to maintain a good battery, not to recharge a weak, dead or bad battery.

Thanks for the advice brother! I ended up just jumping the bike using my car - it worked... ripped around my neighborhood for 30 min or so, but when home I realized there was a pretty solid amount of fuel leaking from my carburetor?
