New from NJ
15 Feb 2020 10:55 - 15 Feb 2020 11:21
Hello all. My name is John. I have been in possession of KZ's since 1996. First bike was a 80 kz400, the two 1979 KZ750 twins... one binge was for parts, the other was my good weather commuter.
I'm an auto shop teacher in northern NJ... old school type...
I lost the commuter 750 in a theft back in 2010, but the parts bike became entirely something else. Please don't hate when you see the pictures.
I recently acquired another 79 KZ750 twin (
, and just got it to start and idle today... more on that issue later.
Thank all! Nice to meet you!
John

Thank you Dave! I was using my phone on the forum, couldn't find the insert option. Its been a while since I've been on forums. I catch up quick!
riturbo, thanks... Felt right when we started this project. I wanted to keep the pipes from the very first KZ750 I owned, and they were not the same as the commuter bike or even my current bike. To make them fit and not interfere with the IRS, I had to fabricate a new manifold, but it worked out pretty decent!
