Hi,
My name is Dave (Crock) and I live on the Mid North Coast of NSW in Australia. I have just obtained a 1979 Z1000e ST and I am in the process of trying to get it roadworthy. Here are my first questions:

I have searched the web without luck looking for a free owners manual and spare parts manual for this model. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure how the fuel tank is meant to be secured at the rear. Does it have a strap to secure it similar to the Z1 and if so where does this attach to?

Cheers
Crock

Hello and welcome to the KZR forum Dave.
Here you will find the spare parts catalog and the buyers guide:

www.z-club-germany.de/10-Download/Extern.../Parts%20Catalog.pdf
www.z-club-germany.de/10-Download/Extern...000ST%20&%20MKII.pdf

If you close your seat the flap on it will press on the fuel tank tab and secure the tank.
