Police two seater

Been a member for a few months now, but first time I decided to post. I picked up a KZP last year and have slowly been working to bring it back to its glory (replacing fuses, valve adjustment, oil seals, etc.).

I just ordered a two up seat from ebay. Given the amount of times I've read through the postings on here about passenger seats thought it would be a fitting first post.

I'm sure it will fit, just a matter of how much effort I am going to have to put in to make it fit. I plan on posting again once it's on.

Post had it listed as a vintage KZ 1000 seat from the 70's.

Try searching the archives here for threads on kzp seat. As I recall, it takes a good bit of work to convert to a civilian seat.

I don't know anything about changing the seat, but is the motorcycle an early 1000C Police bike or a KZ1000-P? When searching, it may help to differentiate between the two as there are probably differences between them.

The seat did not fit. Not quite long enough and no allowance for fuel tank mounting transverse frame. Still looking.

I saw a thread that showed a CSR seat fitting perfect on a KZP no mods needed. However, these seats seems to be pretty hard to come by.

Also, can't believe I was so optimistic on the first post.

I am pretty sure the CSR and LTD seats are the same.

Yeah picked up a CSR seat off the ebays and fits pretty good. Need to bend the rear mounting hinge because it sits a little off center but other than that perfect.
