Hello from Missouri
16 Sep 2018 06:16 - 16 Sep 2018 06:18
Hi all,
New owner of a 1979 KZ650 (first time motorcycle owner as well, sort of inherited it). Still learning the ins and outs.
First thing i'm looking to do is something with the seat - its a little on the tall side for me, and i suppose that is the easiest way to get it down an inch. looking forward to getting into this.

Welcome to KZr Runsch! Tell us a bit about the condition of your bike. People here can help you with maintenance suggestions. You should also get a factory service manual. Here is a link to one on this site:

Albeit, not for a 79. Post sum pictures of your bike, we would love to see it. As far as the riding height is concerned, you also have the option of getting shorter shocks. Shaving the seat down may make it too uncomfortable. Post a picture of the bike, maybe yours doesn't have original stock seat.
