I just signed up here. My moms husband has a 1976 KZ400 that he hasn't ridden in years since he got his Harley.

He told me he was going to give it to me and it is in need or restoration. I haven't seen the bike yet, but he says despite some surface rust it's in great shape. I've been reading on this forum for a few days and it seems to be a wealth of information. Once I get the bike home I'll start a new thread. It should be fun! I would consider myself a novice in bike-building but I do have experience working on older trucks from the 70s.

Either way, this should be a fun little project.
