If you are after the see - through middle look without the side covers, you might want to look into using a lithium battery. They are TINY compared with a standard battery and weigh nothing. You could put one under the rear section of the seat or tail cowl (if you have one), or maybe under the air filter(s). The last one I installed was 1/3 the size of the glass mat battery it replaced.
