Hi Guys, just got a 1979 KZ650 D2 at an auction. Was excited to see there is a whole site devoted to these Kawasakis. Have decent mechanical knowledge but no experience with motorcycles. I am excited to get going, and I'm sure I'll have questions. As you can see she needs some work!

Welcome. Get yourself a Kawasaki Service Manual. Not a Clymers,Chilton's, etc. It will be the best money you spend on this project. Good luck.

Welcome to the KZ fold. Totally agree with what Ajsfirehawk said about the workshop manual. This site is great and I'd like to tell you about 650.info too. It's dedicated to all models of KZ650. Many members here also contribute there also.
I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress
