Hi All,

Firstly allow me to apologize in advance for any protocol errors I will undoubtedly make until I learn the ropes .

This morning I woke to find a Kz 400 very neatly parked in my front yard. From my recollections of last night I apparently bought it a local school charity auction.!! Anyway it has not run for a least 12 years, has been stored in a shed, has no keys, and at first glacé is a bit rusty and bashed in parts. So my dilemma do I attempt to restore it back to its former glory ?? Or do I stay well clear of such a task ?? Please bear in mind I live in the middle of Afica so spair parts are limited , as well as this I 've never tackled such a thing before !!!!

But you know what I really want to do it but don't even know we're to start ????

Welcome to the madness TonyK.
The KZ400 is a great bike and works really well as a café bike (IMHO). They made a ton of them but are known for being a no frills, commuter bike here in the States. Parts can be a bit of a problem for some models.
Do you know what year? Pics are always appreciated.
