Hello everybody
Just thought I would pop in and say Hello.
My name is Sean and as I say I am from Bristol in the UK.
I am a new (very proud) owner of a 1980 KZ500A which has a KZ750 engine fitted, I am going to convert it to a street tracker/flat tracker and have a good idea of the look I am going for.
Currently the bike is original looking, but I have a flat track seat unit to put on (and subframe to make), I will change the square tank to a more teardrop sporty looking one.
By far the biggest job will be the wheels, I love the Kawasaki 7 spoke Enkei wheels, however on my bike the wheel sizes are 19x1.95 on the front and 18x2.15 on the rear, so I have purchased two 19x2.15 7 spoke fronts and will make a spacer kit to fit one of these wheels to the rear, the spacers will be for the sprocket and rear disc to line up correctly.
Fortunately my Father-in-law is a machinist with a lovely lathe in his garage so the work shouldn't be too difficult.
I will of course keep you updated on my progress.
This is the bike as it stands (including a couple of tear down pictures)..
