Congratulations on your new KZ! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I think with your size frame and weight, a 650 would have been no problem. I used to be at around 170 lb at 5' 9" back in my younger days, and hand no issues with the 900. At 549 lb the 900 is one heavy bike. The fact that it is top heavy is the only thing I had to watch out for. Had to make sure I never leaned her too much when parking, and never to forget not to put the sidestand down. The one or two times I did so I couldn't stop it from going down. But at least I could guide it gently down. A 650 would be less of problem.
