I'm 49 and can't beleive I have never owned a any KZ! I bought a 78 KZ 750 twin a few days ago. Ran great. Got home and washed it. Now no spark! Dried out for 3 days now and no start. Bummer. What could it be? Bad coil? Thanks

Bad coil, points gunked up with whatever crud you washed off or coroded connections.

Not a bad looking bike; had a 76 750 twin, was not a bad running bike, wasn't easy on starters though

Would first check -- with ignition switched ON, is full battery voltage being received at the ignition coil primary terminal (where likely a red or red/yellow wire feeds into the coil)?

Good Fortune! :)

Check your primary fuse and wire. Happnened to me once after taking of the side panel. The wire and orange coming off the primary fuse going to the battery with a bullet connector in between that got disconnected. Might check the fuses as well.
