Hi from Tombstone Arizona

Hi, I'm Bill, living off the grid just outside Tombstone Az. Retired knife maker and pistol grip maker. Since I go batty without something to do, I love bikes, been on em since 1977. Just started another project, a 1982 kz1100 bobber. With a spectre engine. Gonna build it up hot, so it'll beat my 06 heritage. Joined the forum so I might get help with it. This be the third kz1100 I've owned thru the years. Look forward to gabbing.
Bikes rule, I don't wanna grow up. When I pull over I'm going to color in my blanket fort.

No doubt about it - no contest! A stock KZ1100 runs the 1/4 mile in less than 12 seconds; the Heritage takes more than 14 seconds. The KZ1100 weighs approx. 520 lbs. and has 108 hp; the Heritage weighs approx. 670 lbs. and has 67 hp. The top speed of the KZ1100 is 140 mph; the top speed of the Heritage is 110 mph. If your KZ1100 with a stock motor doesn't blow away your Heritage something is wrong with the engine.

Two totally different bikes with different missions. Ed

My kz1100 builder project. Got some more parts, may reconsider the tanks and handle bars. Lots more to go.
