Noob from Southern Illinois
12 Oct 2014 09:21
My name is Mike and I now have a KZ again after about 28 years. Actually I have a couple of KZ's. 77 KZ 1000 and an 85 KZ 440 LTD.
My friend and co worker passed away a couple of weeks ago from a battle with cancer. When he found out he was sick about six months ago he called me to ask a favor. He had a KZ 440 LTD he had bought from my son and a '77 KZ 1000 that was his pride and joy. He wanted to know if and when he couldn't ride any more would I buy them so his wife didn't have to deal with them. They are now sitting in the garage at my place. I will probably clean the 440 up and try to sell it. The 1000 is only a year newer than one of the 900's I had back in the day. I am going to do a restoration on it and will keep it.
He is now riding the big highway in the sky. I will honor him by fixing and riding his KZ.

If I can't fix it I can fix it so no one can fix it.

I'm from the southern tip of Illinois. Closer to Memphis than Chicago. I tried to fill out the profile info and an avatar but it kept saying invalid entry or something like that.
