Hello,
I recently started riding. I bought a 1986 Honda Shadow to learn on but it just wasn't exactly my style. So fast forward a couple months and I found an awesome gem on craigslist. It was a 1978 KZ400 project bike at a great price. I am not mechanically inept, I work on cars and know my way around a toolbox, but I am just learning about bikes.
So, this brat styled beauty just needs a couple things to run right (hopefully). I already got new sparkplugs, a couple carburetors diaphragm's (one of the old ones had a few holes in it) and a Jet Kit from 6Sigma racing.
Gonna install the diaphragms and the jet kit this weekend.
We already got it running last weekend and it sounded gooooood. It first just ran on one cylinder but after some tinkering with the carb's, we discovered that one carb's jet had fallen out. Once we tightened it up, both cylinders fired up.
After that I just clearcoated the tank cause I really like the surface rust and stripped paint look.
Anyway, lemme know what you guys think, and any advice or tips you have for me.
Thanks!

Hello,
