Hello I'm new to the forum. I brought with me a 1978 KZ650D SR. She is a mess but well worth the pain for me.
Let me explain..
In 1998 I bought my first motorcycle, she was a 1978 KZ400. I purchased her from a small bike shop junk yard. I pulled her
out and they got her running for $250. From there, I owned it for a year, I worked on it rode it hard, cleaned it all up and
sold it back to the dealer for $700. I fell in love with the bike and missed it. That brings me to today.
Recently, I wanted to get another project bike and found this mess. It has been sitting for 8 years. I don't plan to do
any cutting or chopping. I want to clean it up, paint it and do a little custom work once I get her running. My first
priority is to get her running. I have been browsing the forum for a couple of weeks now, and love that there are so many
KZ enthusiasts out there that I can enjoy this journey with.
If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.
