hay guys just found this forum on google and decided to join because i have a ton of questions about my recent buy. :)

ssssoooooo i just got a 78 KZ650 cafe style. the guy i got it from ended up hitting something and damaging the forks, front wheel and tank. the forks were fixed but i still need a new front rim and tank. the bike had rear turn signals (no fronts), so i added a switch and wired them up. the bike doesnt run now not sure why it was running 2 days ago. also i suspect that the stator isnt charging  voltage was at 12.4 while running and when reved up to 4k stayed the same and didnt get higher.also need new headers :)
these are the only picturs i have at the moment

Welcome Hollywood... O U C H ! Looks like a 78' D1 that didn't fare well, but anything is fixable.

So, what's wrong with the front rim?

Well, I would get that front tire off the ground... or off the bike and check the rim by spinning it and comparing it to some set point, like a fork tube. But seeing you don't have a full-stand, don't know how you'll do this.
