Hello to all my fellow riders from sunny Grimsby in England. I have just bought a GPZ 750 R1.

Thanks Mcdroid. Is it usual to have my frame stamped KZ? The bike is an English bike not an import. Good site by the way

All the KZ750-R1s were manufactured in Japan...mine is also stamped as a KZ, but I'll bet your frame number is 13 digits...mine is 17 digits, making it a North American export. Yours was likely originally marketed in England as a Z750-R1.

Yep mine is 13 . When we say English or British bike we mean thats UK spec and sold in our market. I have noticed in the past that US, Canadian and European bikes can all be different from the bikes we get. Which can make wiring very interesting. The last import i had was a ZN 700. Nice little bike. Not very common over here as i found out when i was rebuilding it.
