1977 1000 LTD 549 Original Miles!

Original owner put it in his walkout basement 37 years ago! I bought it a week ago. Had one new in 1977, but sold it at 42000 miles upon the birth of my second child. A few minor scratches, but pretty close to perfect. It will get the royal treatment no expense spared restoration it deserves.

I paid too much for it. Minor scratches on tank, the rest is close to perfect. Going to keep it original as much as possible. Where can i get rwl tires?

Yes, Bridgestone makes RWL tires. 100/90/19 for the front.....140/90/16 for the rear? or 130/90/16?

I took it to a guy who specializes in restoring vintage bikes. I was going to do most of it myself, but the carbs were really bad and I wanted this to turn out good. Everything was gone over. It cost a lot. But now it is done and I have a like new bike, just like I had "back then". Having not been on a bike for 22 years AND being 62 years old I am a little wobbly at this point. I put 5 miles on it yesterday running around the neighborhood. I put a few more miles on today.
