Well gentlemen meet Mrs. Clarice...I wrecked on this bike back in 1996, young dumb full of booze, you get the picture...anyways I am looking to make an old school hot rod. I'd like it to be 4 inches longer and possibly a lil bit more motor but not enough to require an oil cooler. I will need direction at to where to begin and what to do first please help a fella out. I want to do this myself or as much as I can.

One of the first considerations would be whether the frame was bent when wrecked.

That was the first thing I had checked before bringin baby home....I just need to know where to begin. I thought of strippin her bare and going from there, but others have suggested getting everything back in place and firing up the bike then tearing her down and getting her fancied up...What yall think?

Anymore pre-wreck parts available that are serviceable or restorable?
Collision damages to starboard side?
Would consider starting a new topic in the Projects forum.
