Hi! Proud owner of a 700 here. I just bought it yesterday and it will be shipped here in a day or two. I'm in no way an expert or mechanic but it looked and sounded great to me:

I was actually looking for a project bike but then I found this beauty. The former owner seem to have taken good care of it. I won't mention the price as it will make Americans fall off their chair (we have crazy registration taxes here) but it was a very good price compared to other similar bikes around here.

If you have any tips or advice please let me know. I know the basic stuff that covers all bikes (tools, oil, service manual etc.) from my previous bikes (Yamaha RD 350, Yamaha FZR1000 Exup '89) but nothing about these bikes. I'm reading up on it in here though.

Great looking bike you got there. Looks like an L3 or L4. I bet everything but total cc is the same as L3 or L4

I can't wait to ride it again. I'll take some pictures when I can stop riding it long enough!

As far as I know it is exactly the same except a few millimeters in the cylinders and the jets. I was looking at one with real bad compression and was thinking about changing the cylinder to a 750. I might still depending on how everything looks when I get to look closer.

Pampered miles indeed...and appears meticulously cared for. Keep it up, and ride like the wind! :cheer:

So I was going to post a quick video of her running but for some reason the sound on my phone breaks up (sounds like the bike is surging up and down in RPM?) Don't know why.

There is a tiny clip here but it does not sound like the bike does at all. Oh well..
