New KZ1000 Rider from MA

Hi guys - new guy from MA, I have a KZ1000P, 1988. Great machine, very fast and the police markings really make way on the road for me. Had a question - when I bought it new, the oil and filter was already new - want to change all this for the new season - what size ratchet should I be using to open the oil pan and to remove the filter?

Welcome, what part of MA are you in? I'm out on the Cape. Oil plug and filter should be 17mm or so.
