Hello from N Illinois

I've been lurking for a few weeks, time to say hello. Big thanks for all the technical help I've found on here, had a lot of problems avoided already. Last Saturday I put on my big boy pants and dunce cap and opened up the engine on my baby, an '82 KZ1000 LTD. Questions coming soon to an Engine thread near you, pictures after I get a camera worth more than a pencil.

Also great riding south and west of you. We have some friends in Rock Falls, and riding on 2 from Rockford to Sterling and back along the Rock River is an AWESOME experience, especially thru Castle Rock State Park! JUST GORGEOUS, you don't want to miss it!

Thanks all. Didn't think there would be this many of us in the region.

I took a trip last fall out 20 to Dubuque to Cedar Rapids, QC, and back up the river rd. 67 I think it was. No pictures as camera phone is busted, but most of them would have been of Gas Stations where I Warmed Up. 4hrs of it was after dark, 45 degrees. I'm getting chaps next time weather they look silly or not.
