old owner long time lurker

my name is Alex.

i bought a non-running 81 kz550 from a friend in october 2012 with hopes of restoring it last winter. the trans went out on my pickup so it got delayed.

well thanks to the peopleon this site i was able to get it running(though not very well) over the summer and now i finally got my truck just about finished its time to get back to the bike.

i rode the bike before it quit running and it was the best bike i've ever ridden(even better than my pedal bike...lol) even after some idiot ran a read light and caused me to drop it on the street to avoid collision.

anyway ii cant wait to learn more than i have already learned from this site and to finally get this manly beast of a motorcycle running again.

i just wish i had pics of the ride now.
