New member in VA with a 77 kz1000 in rough shape

Hello everyone. New member here in the VA Hampton roads area with a 77 kz1000 a1. I had it when I was stationed in Hawaii and it was nice then but once I was here in virginia I was looking for another project and ended up trading it for a 73 maverick. A week later i regretted it. :(

About a yeah later I found it on Craigslist here locally and after talking to the guy he said that he didnt have a title. I told him that it used to be mine then that started a long battle with this guy. He wanted a title and vouldnt provide anything on how he get the bike. Everything was shady with this guy and something just wasnt right about it. months of this go by and I ended up getting this bike back for a small amount of money. Its still titled to me.

The bike has been crashed and the tank mangled. busted side cover, electrical system is all hacked up. the headlight and gauges are all trashed. A rear shock is bent. the frame has been rattle can painted black looks like crap. carbs are screwed. and the engine is shot i think. :(

This is going to be a long term project and I look forward to learning from you guys and giving help where I can maybe meeting up with some local members.
