Just picked up the bike in my profile pic today, its been around 10years since i had a bike and the last was a KTM SX 250, so im new to the roadbikes.

Looking forward to stripping this right back and starting from scratch

Great to have a forum like this to drop into and get some tips

Many thanks from a NZr in Berlin

Welcome.
There's a kz400 specific web site that I think the 440 would share a lot of parts and info with. Check that out too.

Do post up some pictures of what you do to your bike.

Her are a few pics of progress so far,
Coming along slowly but surely, move into a workspace next week as its getting a bit cool to work in the courtyard here in Berlin.

First time I've ever done a project like this, and its been fun.

When i get it into the workshop thats when the real work will start, stripping it right back and having some frame work, motor work and electrics done.

Will try and do as much myself as i can, a big thanks to all here who have taken the time to answer my crazy, stupid questions so far.
Im sure there will be more
