New KZ1000A from NJ
20 Aug 2013 22:47
Hi, I my newest project,1978 KZ1000A. Engine is a Z1 bottom end with KZ 1015 cylinders and a 900 head. Along with a lot of chrome. Looks like a 4" over swing arm. This bike was built by Ray Mancini from CT in the mid 80's. If you have any knowledge about this builder please share. My plan is to get it safe, ride it for a bit, then redo it like it is. I am digging the mid 80's pro street look.
History, back in the day I hade a 1981 KZ750E test rode a 78 KZ1000LTD. Did not buy it but have all ways remembered that ride.
Looks nice along side my Kaw ZRX1100, Kaw Triple, but the yellow Honda CB400F may have to go.
Thanks as I may need some help 1st KZ1000 and all.

Very nice, only thing I would change if it were mine would be the seat to a regular flat KZ900 seat. Beautiful bike though.

Thanks to all!!!
It's nice to get a little encouragement, as I mostly like to own stock bikes. Yes a stock seat would be the way to go, that is how it came from Mancini's
