New Member sayn Hi!
14 Jul 2013 23:21
Just wanted to say hello. I picked OL Bill cause I been around awhile. Got my first KZ back in 78,was a 74 900,had a few since then along with the usual Hondas, Suzuki's, a Duc, 2 Brits, a Bsa and a Triumph Tiger, and 3 H-D's. Anyway, I just found and bought a resto project, a 80 Classic. Bike's all original 3,663 miles, only mod is a Kerker. I hope it doesn't bankrupt me, as it hasn't run in just over a year since previous owner died. I know very little about these Fuleie models, except the parts are veeery expensive to replace. So, I may lean on the forum for help. Thanks in advance.

Welcome OL Bill...welcome to KZR. Actually, if you become one with the eBay gods, then reasonably priced replacement KZ1000G parts can be had...patience is the key...many eBay sellers think that KZ parts are worth far more than they really are. There are a few 'weak' points to the G model...spend time exploring this site and reading older threads as the strengths and weaknesses of the G model have been well discussed...and don't be bashful about posting questions.

Welcome to a great Group and Owner Forum Bill! Wish you the best in the resto. I am currently restoring my very first ever bike, a Kawasaki 1974 F7 two stroke. Looks like we go back to our first love eh? We will find out together just how much it will take to get them up and running! See you around.....
