Thats it... I got a Z1 classic sometimes called kz 1000 G1 with the serial 931 for what I think a fair price of $2300 with all its paper work in order the previous (sixth) owner even handed each ticket paid and the original owner manual. Something very unusual in Mexico that requires lots of paper work to import a bike.

More impressive is opening the bike and discovering that it still have its Fuel Injection module working perfectly :)

It just have a stuck relay that keeps the pump working even with the key out, but it charges the battery good.

Usual cafe equipment to come: low bars, new controls, turn signals, replace brake lines, seat, speedo, etc and a black satin/vivid paint, mirrors, etc

here the pic from the previous owner used in the classifieds.

this was kind of a farm find, it belonged for two generations of butchers, and the latest youngest needed the money to open his own shop.

Do you think this was a fair price? yes I know I cannot change anything just want a more experience opinion about taking this call.

Wow! That's a nice looking, original motorcycle. The Kerker header is a bonus.

Good luck with your project. Before your paint job, I would save the original body parts. either sell them for good money or keep for the original. Buy some different parts to paint. I M Opinion.

IMO keeping it stock will be worth more in the long run. Especially with working fuel injection!!!
But its your bike and do with as you please. I agree with z1, take off original parts and put them away and use replacements.
Just my .02.

thanks for the heads up, I been reading the archives and now I realise the strange animal I have.

After a more deep inspection the front master cylinder is cracked with a minor leak . Found some options in the breake upgrade threads. Other than that I will keep her as a stockish restauration :)
