1979 kz1000 st

recently bought a 1979 kz1000 st for $400. rebuilt the carbs, open filters, new plugs, factory sealed battery, and a number of other little improvements. got it running pretty good so took it on a couple rides around town. oil started leaking from the right head gasket. i have new gaskets here but need a little step-by-step how-to on removing the cams and head. im not new to wrenching...but i am new to timing and cams. any help would be appreciated. thank you.

Before you go any further clean the area around the leak very well then check to make sure the leak isn't from the tachometer drive connection. This is a very common problem that can be very easily fixed, and it is often mistakenly diagnosed as a head gasket leak. Ed
