New seattle 1983 kz650H rider! was created by Getjessedean
Hey everybody. My name is Jesse and I bought this bike a couple months ago and I have been using this website and my clymer manual(life saver) to get her running again. She has 12,000 original miles on her I bought her from some 80+ year old guy who has had it sitting in his garage covered in blankets for the last 10-15 years. I have since done the carbs, tank(VERY light surface rust!!) air filter, oil and filter change, new tires, minor electrical work(turn signals from a CB, new bullets for certain things), new handlebars, mirrors and just polished and cleaned everything I can. It rides so smooth. Next up is to tackle the forks and their oil and then get a new chain. I also got the original windjammer III fairing with lowers. The saddlebags are shoei and they are so helpful for my work(private chef who has to zip around town alot). It also has a back rest/luggage rack for my wife(one of the reasons I was ALLOWED to get it)! Thank you so much for having this site!

Howdy. If you're looking to get a factory manual, the Kawasaki 650 manual that covers the 83 model is kinda rare, but you could probably get by w the 81-82 manual - those come up for sale on ebbaayy often, sometimes for cheap. The 81-83 manual I have does not have glossy pages; the info for the 83 model is only a couple of pages; and the wiring diagram is black & white. If you need the info, I scanned the 83 model's pages.

Since you mentioned the forks, here's a couple of pics.

Awesome thanks! I got the manual from the previous owner. Only it is missing the 60 pages!

You probably ought to go ahead & get a Kawasaki service manual. The jarlef z650 site has an 81 650 pdf manual in the Files section.
