So. I told my lady that I was getting out of bed for some water and went to wiggle the hell out of it. Worked like a charm. Unfortunately no time to play around with it anymore tonight, but ill be thinking about it till tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the tips today.

Cicero is about 1/4 of the way to Ft. Wayne from Indianapolis. I just moved up here from Houston, TX. Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. Thanks for sending good juju my way. I'm going to be working on troubleshooting the starter tonight and cleaning off and changing the electrical tape or replacing the wires on a few spots that were apparently patched up a few years ago. Then I will put on the new seat and either order a new starter if it is the issue or whatever part I need. Hopefully I can get a little riding time in tomorrow. Also found a small knob right above the carbs towards the center of the bikethis morning before work that when adjusting SIGNIFICANTLY improved the idle in neutral. I dont remember what it does exactly, i am assuming that it has to do with gasoline flow. Don't have my manual at work because I can't trust myself to not spend my day looking at it.

That knob adjusts the throttle stop. It simply moves the throttle stop which in turn adjusts the idle, it doesn't directly touch fuel flow. Ed

That makes perfect sense. If the point at which my throttle was stopping when release from my grip was past the minimum point at which the throttle needed to be in order for the engine to idle then adjusting this screw would remove the gap between those two points. Great!
