Hello I am new member from Florida I have retired and my interest is back my KZ1000 which I purchased new in 1980 (it is a 1979 mark 11 A3 the bike) is calling for me to use her I am the original owner and it has always been garage and or basement kept when I lived up north just purchased a battery and oil filter hopefully in the next couple of weeks should be ready to ride

I was totally surprised to find out how much the value of these bikes has gone up the last time I looked they had very little value maybe someone can tell me what changed I paid 2900.00 for the bike when I purchased it new

With original paint and exhaust system, low miles, and as close to stock as possible...you will be looking at >$8000...

to answer your question about why.

Time is the answer.

they have finally gotten old enough to be desirable again.

it is like having an old muscle car, these bikes are only going to get more expensive from here on out.

congrats an keeping your bike since new,and finding your new home on the internet :) .

welcome.
