Nice bike to start a project with. Does it run? Great price if she does. It looks rough but complete. Now your vision will take over and create the bike that you want. Mine was really rough at one time but a little elbow grease and some coins and she will be sweeet. Oh and welcome from Florida

Welcome.I think you have a good starting point. This is how it will look stretched and lowers with 4 over rake with custom trees.

Am addicted to Z1's and kz 900's have an el camino, fly rc helicoptors and am strung out on horsepower.

Thanks for the looks and info guys ! I,ve started a thread in the projects topics. That picture was about 6 months ago. It's torn down and ready for the sandblaster now. I will be posting pics on my project thread. There will be lots of pics because the bike has so many differnt parts on it, I wanted to document the tear down. I would like you guys to take a peek and help me identify this parts combination. I want to get it back on the road for the 4th of July. Going to do the frame in a custom pearl Kawasaki green. Tank, covers and tail are going to be just a little darker with no pearl. Engine will be blacked out in Black Velvet Ceramic coating with polished and powder coated case covers. I haven'd decided what to do with the mags. I want it stretched 4 with modified stock swingarm, duel shocks and the front end dropped about 2 inches with drag bars.

Well it's been some time since I've visited the best KZ site ever ! I have had to take a long absence from the scene of the custom world to take care of my mom while battling cancer. Now free of pain, my mom is gone and it's time for me to pick up where I left off. I have now moved to Indiana and no longer in Georgia, so it would be great to hear from the Hoosiers out there that love to ride. I am so glad to be back... I've had a project page up for sometime and have had no progress posted on it for while, hope this changes.

Sorry to hear about your Mother, My Mum got ill around this time last year and died in March, I found getting my KZ1000 in the fall and working on that was a great distraction and therapy for the woes of 2015 which was a crappy year which I've described to some as as year that started badly with my Mother's illness and death and then went down hill from there. There's nothing like a project to distract your mind from the negatives of life, but also uplift you with a sense of accomplishment.
