New Georgia Member Check In...!
24 Mar 2013 12:17
Hey Guys,
Wanted to tell you guys how great it is to be a part of this great membership. So now a little about me. I am a car customizer thats tired of the 4 wheel environment and wanting to return to 2 wheels. I use to ride these bikes when they were new and loved it. That might give away my age, but what the heck. My knowledge is limited on the new ways these bikes are modified now and I hope to pick all your brains for my all out street/strip KZ900 project. My last bike I had was an 03 GSXR 750, before that I had a GpZ 750 Turbo. I was restoring English bikes in the late 70's and early 80's and thats when I had my KZ900. I've been wanting to return to the 2 wheels of a KZ for a long time. So I picked up my project KZ for 300 bucks on eBay. Now the project begins...!

Thanks for the link, but I saw that in the new member section. I am with-in the size and dimensions of the requirements. No pic though......

If using Firefox with a version newer than 17.0, could try using a different browser such as Explorer, to post a pic.

Welcome I'm in middle Ga. My Kawasaki's aren't running yet, but I'm interested in cruising. I have 1981 kz 1000 c-4 and 1974 z1a900. My baby girl on the bike.

Is there a special place in the forums to post your ongoing project and pics ?

Yeah, under projects, in the "non-technical forums"
Looks like you have your self a real LTD 900, 1st and only year for it. Not saying it's valuable but they be some boys on here that will flat out whip your ass if you were to molest it!
Enjoy it and it doe's look to be a nice base to start with.

I wondered why it had such strange parts combo..! Are you sure ? I was planning on stretching & lowering it, for the drag bike look.

Oh yeah, I'm sure! The rear brake master cylinder is the give away, you can change a lot of things thru bolting on or taking off and just such has been done to yours but that rear master cylinder holder is real 76 Ltd stuff! Stretch and Lower it, just do it without cutting anything up to do it and yes, it can be done. Mine is mono shock and not one tab was sacrificed or added by welding to do it! A complete kit was used.
