Just Wanted to Introduce Myself

Hello to all KZr members. I thought it was time for me to introduce my self. I feel bad that I didn't do this sooner. My name is Art, I live in Illinois, and I own a 1979 Kawasaki, KZ650 B3. I bought the bike brand new in 79 and it was my first bike. The bike is rock stock except for the Kerker 4-into-1 header and a set of K&N air filters. Got hit by a car in 1982 and stopped riding because of lack of funds to repair the bike (only had Liability Insurance). Got married in 1999, and had my first born child in 2000, a daughter. Began to restore the 650 in 2006 and it continues to this day. Since I have been a member here at KZr I have obtained a lot of info, very useful info. I am very happy and proud to be a member. I ALSO RUN A COUPLE OF HONDA CB360 s ONE RUNNING WELL DOWN HERE IN MEXICO AND ANOTHER A LITTLE : OFF BEAT : STILL NEEDS TUNING

looking at your bike ,

can you tell me what model it is and more important did you change those handle bars from the original ?

mine are high up and curve backwards ,not my style,

The handle bars do look lower than stock.
The D models (SRs) pull back more than the Bs & Cs.
Most 7/8" bars can fit.
Sometimes front master cylinder to tach guage interfearance can be a problem.
