Hello from Denver, Colorado!
09 Oct 2012 13:30
Hello everyone,
Just joined and thought I should share the 82 KZ750 LTD that I have been tinkering on. Also in the garage is a CB650 and Sucker Punch Sally.
Attached is a picture of before she got put back together (working on that, she runs) and before she caught on fire. She runs great now excluding the #2 fuel-ignition problem that I am sorting out this afternoon.
Picked her up not running after she sat for a few years. Engine was sound, carbs had been dipped with diaphragms inside. They were melted in every little nook and cranny.
Made a fiberglass rear end. Then decided to scrap it and chop the rear of the bike off. Made a small seat for that.
Stripped the electronics, no more horn, blinkers, etc or any wiring for them. Wired in a tail light with the running light onto the bottom of the seat I built. Original didn't had a working running light.
Dented in the tank, first time ever trying to make knee indents.
Painted the thing: Wheels, exhaust, tank, lights, etc. Thermal on the exhaust of course, rubber on the rear shocks. Found a cool gold cover at the local scrap yard, so that's on there.
Just needing to inflate the front tire, make some sidecovers and put a mirror on her. I'll mount the remaining electronics to the seat and call it a day.
Hope to see you on the road.

Welcome Chase. My sister lives in Denver. Go Peyton!
And by the way, I don't think we'll be seeing you on the road a whole lot more this year seeing that your up in the mile high city.

Welcome to the site bro.

Remember, don't work on your bike so much you never ride it.
