From Montana, '79 KZ650
02 Oct 2012 13:42 - 02 Oct 2012 13:45
Hello,
I just started my first project. A '79 KZ650, its a piece of junk right now... kinda... it runs well and rides well but with lots of loose bolts, makeshift fixes, jury rigging, etc. from the last owner.
Im going to be asking for a lot of help with this bike since this is also my first bike. I just finished with my enlistment in the USMC September 2011 and well... im a huge fan of 50s and 60s rock and roll. i saw a documentary and fell in love with the lifestyle and the look of cafe racers. so i bought a KZ650 a couple weeks after.
Im sure that i will post pics up of each thing i need help with soon. i know about mechanics to a point. but not about motorcycles...

KZ Gallery is a great place for ideas or just the pleasure of eyeballing nice machines. 650 is a great bike. Thank you for your service too! Enjoy!
Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.
