The racing issue was a loose nut on the throttle cable linkage. The flat tire ended being a loose valve stem. Otherwise it has been running great.
I have run some Stabil thru a few tanks and it seems to warm up faster and take throttle sooner. I thought it took an inordinate amount of time to warm up, but after reading through the forums that seems to be normal. I should get a inline fuel filter.
There are some caps in some weird spots on the carb that look like lines of some sort should go to. The frame says it is an KZ650F, but the engine case says KZ650B. The petcock is not vacuum assisted.
I did have it leaking fuel out of one carb overflow line on one night though. I left the petcock on as I usually do. It hasn't done it since. I guess a float got stuck open?
I removed the cafe faring and lowered the gauges.
