New Member, Old Bike

Hello! I'm looking for a good technical resource for my KZ750 twin, so I just joined the forum. I'm about to re-own a '77. It was my first bike in college, and when I was through with school I was forced to sell it due to time/money/space constraints. With the bike I had an original service manual, original key, and a whole bike's worth of parts. The bike was always in need of something, but when it ran it was a great bike that was fun to ride.
Fast forward ~7 years. I'd finished college, moved out, got married, bought a house, got a dog, had a baby. I ride an '09 Yamaha FZ6 which I bought new in 2010, my first bike since the KZ750. Now that I have some garage space, I have been watching craigslist for an inexpensive project bike with a title - something mid 70's, japanese, 750 absolute max displacement. Trolling CL one day, I find a suspiciously familiar looking KZ750, with a full bike's worth of parts. It was pretty easy to tell based on the photo that it was my old bike - after a few weeks worth of emails, I went to see it last night. It's been untouched since I sold it, stored inside and covered with some fresh dust. The key is even still in the ignition.
Needless to say I'm headed back to pick it up tomorrow. So begins the long process of getting this old beast running again, but I'm looking forward to it. Expect to field a lot of questions from this guy.

Cool!
Great as this site is, this is even better for twin information www.armbell.com/kz400/index.php?mforum=kz400 . And by joining both this and that, you really should be set :)

Welcome, that is quite a story. Of course, we need pics!

Welcome argyle.
Did the previous owner re-title the bike or is the title still in your name?
Regardless, congrets on recovering your lost love.
Good Luck,
Jim
