Hey guys.

I just picked up my first Kawasaki.
74 Z1.
I bought it off a neighbor for $570.
It has a clear title and hasn't run for about 15 years.
Under 10K miles on it.
Compression is pretty decent.

Spent about a month tuning it and now it's running awesome.

List of stuff I've done so far:
- tires
- carbs
- full tune up
- clubman bars
- dyna s ignition
- new seat cover
- other little cosmetic shit
- kz750 front shorty fender
- cleaned inside of tank
- new cables

The guy that had it before me put Borrani aluminum wheels on it and aftermarket cross-drilled rotors which is pretty cool. Some wonky 4-1 exhaust, but it's decent I guess.

Not bad for $500 huh.

Hope to find some good resources on this site.

-Ed

@z1kzonly

clubmans are the way to do it!
I'm tryin to get down in those turns!

I have 3 bikes:
- 74 honda cb450
- 79 honda cb650
- z1

...and they all have clubmans. I wouldn't want it any other way.
I tried superbike bars for a couple weeks and I wasn't happy with the feel or the look.
