Another Newbie
10 Jun 2006 18:47
Greetings Brothers,
I've ridden off and on over the years, and I've recently gotten my own (first)bike on the road. Too bad I didn't discover this site sooner. I could've shared my journey thus far from the beginning. I purchased a 1977 KZ750 from the second owner a year ago. It had 8000 orig. miles and had been neglected for several years. I did't work on it often enough, but she's going now. A friend shot it with paint real quick for me, and I've done the following: battery, tires, clutch adjustment, cleaned the carbs, tach cable, and brakes. She is now road worthy. It runs great! I plan to tear it down this winter and "restore" it. Frame and component paint and replacing and deep cleaning. Sorry for rambling. I look forward to building friendships and sharing (proly more recieving) tips with all of you.
Thanks for your time,
Adam

Thanks,
You're right we have put a lot of time into her. Money....well at times it sounds like a lot to me, but not really. As it sits I've got about 750.00 USD in her. I do plan on putting a lot more time and $ in though.

I'm in Springfield, if you are ever going to be riding around this way, drop me a line.
Very nice looking 750 by the way!
